Riding Out The Storm...

daughter and grands
Expect the hill and the valley to see things differently..(Nothing Profound quoted)..Saturday storms in Atlanta and probably across the states was indeed intense. Which reminded me of my sons graduation in 2008, when the valedictorian told a story about you got to ride out the storm, No matter how it looks ride out the storm eventually things will get clearer but don't pull over and stop and get caught up. Well my daughter and my grand kids was out and about to visit relatives. It begin to to rain while we were on the road, as we got closer to our destination we was going to make a stop at the store, but it was raining really hard by then, Hailing..We could not see a thing, It was horrible, couldn't see the car in front of us. I told my daughter to pull over, there is no way we will be able to get thru this, she said No ma..I am going to keep going, I said can you see? she said better than you?(lol the only part that was funny now that i am telling the story) I said where is your glasses, she said give me my purse to find out that she left the glasses in her other purse..She said I can see a little, she said if the other cars would put on thier emergency blinkers.. My heart was on the floor, I was calling on the Lord more than I can ever remember. I said you got to pull over, she said no ma...she said you rememeber at Kip graduation, and the boy told the story, you got to ride out the storm, We got to just ride out the storm, we riding it out ma, I am not stoping, I said we can stop and turn into Zaxbys or something, she said then we will be caught..no ma we are going to keep going. finally we get to a red light, but the storm was still a comin..you know how you have travel the same road for the million time and the light changes like clock work, but saturday, it wouldnt move, I was praying the light change because we couldnt tell if we was riding out or riding into the storm, the storm really hadnt got to our location but was heading that way, The light did change and again we couldn't see but we kept going..finally we could see our way clear as we look back we could tell it wouldnt be long We got to the house and ran inside to tell this story to the family, We laughed at it then..Riding out the storm, that's the same way with things that is going on in your life. We can't just sit there and do nothing. just ride it out and you can see things clearer. "You may think you’ve got a long way to go, but you need to look back at how far you’ve already come. You may not be everything you want to be but at least you can thank God that you’re not what you used to be. God never promised that we wouldn’t have challenges. In fact, He said just the opposite. His word says, ‘Be truly glad!...these trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure…’ so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of His return...Remember to Ride out the Storms..
