When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts

 A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. No matter how old they get, My 20 yr old decided to get on a plane and go New Jersery to see his girlfriend. Well that was a first for him and me. He wanted to do this alone. His first trip his father drove him up i was ok with that, But when he told me he wanted to fly alone my mind went to the another zone. First of all we never had a long distance relationship, we always dated someone from where we lived. but this was a first in the family..We never stop being a parent. I hear folk say, well he is grown, Well technically yes, But he is still my child. I am still trying to show him the right way to do things. The worse thing anybody body can give me is advice on how to be a parent and you dont have any children, there is nothing you will be able to tell me, all the books in the world still wont get you anywhere with me. That was the only thing I didnt like about Oprah when she had a show on children, oh sure she read up on it and had experts on, but she don't have any kids. neices and nephews dont count. I had to tell a someone that today, yes she was mad, but i didnt give a crap, truth is the truth...Grown don't mean nothing to a mother.  A child is a child.  They get bigger, older, but grown?  What's that suppose to mean?  In my heart it don't mean a thing... In time they will understand..A parent's love is whole no matter how many times divided.
